Mental Health HIV Services Collaborative
A disproportionate number of existing and new HIV/AIDS infections are concentrated within communities of color. To address these issues, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration provided funds for sixteen grantees whose task is to enhance and expand the provision of effective, culturally competent HIV/AIDS-related mental health services in minority communities for persons living with HIV/AIDS and having a mental health need. JBA, as leader of the National Evaluation Team (NET) for this services collaborative project is responsible for providing a process and outcome evaluation across the grantee sites to determine the effects of contextual factors, including site culture, program services, and implementation of additional mental health services on the selected outcomes. The interrelationships of process and program variables are also a subject of review.
