Adaptable Evaluation Training and Technical Assistance for Healthy Marriage, Promoting Responsible Fatherhood and Tribal/TANF Child Welfare Grantees
In 2006, Congress reauthorized the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. The Office of Family Assistance (OFA) awarded discretionary grants under its legislative authority to 235 research and demonstration projects. The agency funded 125 Healthy Marriage programs, 100 Responsible Fatherhood programs and 10 Tribal/TANF programs. To ensure that the information obtained from these projects is evidence based and informs the field about effective practices and approaches that produce successful results, the OFA has contracted with James Bell Associates (JBA) to provide evaluation-related technical assistance (TA) to grantees in all three Federal priority areas.
