Family Management of Diabetes Study (FMOD)
As the Coordinating Center, JBA assists the Prevention Research Branch within National Institute of Child Health and Human Development in implementing this behavioral clinical trial at four study sites. JBA's work on this project encompasses all aspects of study design, pilot testing of selected measures and interventions and full-scale study implementation. The Coordinating Center provides a central data repository, randomizes study subjects to the intervention or treatment as usual condition and conducts all field data collection. In addition, the Coordinating Center is responsible for developing and maintaining a manual of study procedures, coordinating the activities of NICHD's Data and Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC) and maintaining a central Web site that affords access to pilot and main study data for both public and internal study use.
