Maternal and Child Health Bureau Staff Evaluation Training
The goal of this project was to build the capacity of Maternal and Child Health Bureau program directors and project officers to conduct required evaluations in keeping with expectations established by the 1993 Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA). Through training and the creation of manuals and web-based materials, JBA launched an introductory training curriculum based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Framework for Public Health Evaluation that included the following components: a participant manual containing resource materials on each topic covered in the training; a trainer guide outlining training activities and containing exercise materials; and PowerPoint slides summarizing key points of the curriculum.
