JBA Staff to Connect Dots Between Active Engagement and Implementation Insights at March 26 Institute

Susan Zaid and Jessica Bruning will present Thursday, March 26, at the Texas Evaluation Network Institute, an annual event intended to help evaluators navigate complexity, adapt to changing expectations, and generate insight across contexts.  Their session, Connecting the Dots: Using Active Engagement to Inform Implementation Insights, will highlight JBA’s evaluation of Utah’s Mixed-Model Home Visiting Pilot Project, implemented by Prevent Child Abuse Utah. The presentation will explore how active engagement with funders, practitioners, and families strengthens implementation evaluation by improving interpretation, surfacing context behind quantitative findings, and generating actionable recommendations for program improvement and scale. Using Utah’s innovative mixed-model home visiting pilot as a case example, Zaid and Bruning will discuss how the voice of interested parties shaped evaluation design, data interpretation, and early implementation insights across multiple sites.
