Childhood obesity can have a lifelong impact.

Little Voices for Healthy Choices was developed for Early Head Start to support wellness from birth to age 3. It offers training and resources on healthy nutrition and physical activity as well as brain development and sleep.

JBA evaluated the implementation and early success of Little Voices for Healthy Choices using a mixed-methods approach that incorporated quantitative and qualitative data. Working with program creator Zero to Three, project staff—

  • Reviewed site action plans
  • Assessed satisfaction with the initial training curriculum
  • Conducted site visits to evaluate implementation supports and barriers
  • Summarized the data
  • Presented evaluation findings
