The Immunize Kansas Kids coalition was established to increase the number of Kansas children receiving timely vaccinations.

JBA evaluated and supported the coalition’s efforts to identify and address barriers to immunization.

First, we created an evaluation plan that included—

  • Measurement indicators
  • Data sources
  • Analytic design
  • Data collection methods and procedures
  • Sample sizes
  • Human and technological resource requirements

Next, we evaluated implementation of a statewide action plan and expansion of the Kansas immunization registry. In the final phase, we evaluated intermediate and long-term outcomes, including the number of children protected from disease.
