Strong but Gentle: Home Visiting on the Wind River Indian Reservation
Project: National Home Visiting Resource CenterIn Wyoming, Wind River Family and Community Health Care delivers evidence-based home visiting services designed for Indigenous families.
Home visits are conducted by respected community members, who provide parenting guidance and education steeped in Native history and traditions. This video follows home educator Elsie Charging Crow as she meets with local moms on the Wind River Indian Reservation. It touches on the importance of shared experiences among communities marked by historical trauma.
