available downloads

The federal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program (MIECHV) requires grantees to conduct well-designed, rigorous research that builds knowledge about the implementation and effectiveness of home visiting programs.

This brief summarizes expectations concerning research and evaluation conducted with MIECHV funds and shares four hallmarks of methodological rigor: credibility, applicability, consistency, and neutrality. It also briefly outlines federal guidance concerning evaluation plans and evaluation funding.
