This is the second of five modules in the Data System Improvement Toolkit. The toolkit was developed for grantees of the Tribal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program to help them strengthen their data systems. It may also be useful for other programs in the human services, education, and early childhood fields.
Module 2 helps programs—
- Understand and document where data are located in a system
- Improve and document data quality processes
- Document and streamline data entry processes
The introduction to Module 2 outlines its goals and terminology before providing an overview of the tools, including a customizable template to map data visually and a guide to data cleaning. The module also contains sample versions of case file checklists, missing data reports, and process maps that help programs better document data collection and entry related to intake, service provision, and reporting.
Use the available downloads box to access individual tools, including modifiable versions when available. The full toolkit can also be downloaded as a single PDF file.
