Participatory, Community-Engaged Evaluation: Video Series

Project: Technical Assistance on Evaluation for Discretionary Grant Programs

Among the grant recipients selected by the Children’s Bureau to implement and assess innovative services in child welfare, many adopt an approach to evaluation that includes and amplifies the voices of communities served.

This video series spotlights participatory, community-engaged evaluation among two grantee cohorts: Community Collaborations to Strengthen and Preserve Families awarded in 2019, and Family Support Through Primary Prevention awarded in 2021. We hear from an array of representatives from four projects: Partnership for Strong Families (Gainesville, FL), Brighton Center (Newport, KY), Vision for Children at Risk (St. Louis, MO), and University of Kansas Center for Research (Lawrence, KS).

Each video focuses on a different building block of the evaluation approach.
