The circumstances surrounding us affect our daily decisions at home, school, work, and more. For this reason, HARC has embedded context as a key part of its Precision Paradigm framework for exploring what about home visiting works for different people in different situations.
This brief summarizes a qualitative study of home visitors focusing on contextual factors influencing their work. It presents findings organized by key levels of context—individual, interpersonal, organizational, community, and structure and systems—before sharing implications for researchers and programs. Focus group participants, recruited from HARC’s Practice-based Research Network, represent various regions, home visiting models, and home visitor characteristics.
